From drivers and riders to teams, mechanics, photographers, engineers, organizers, brands and fans, PitPass aims to give the entire motorsport ecosystem a place to connect, discover and grow.
WHERE IT ALL STARTED
Eshan Motagedara’s journey into the motorsport world began in 2016, when he became involved with Racing life with Dilantha Malagamuwa TV programme. What started as an opportunity to work within motorsport took him far beyond Sri Lanka, travelling across international circuits and experiencing the world of racing up close. Being around the tracks, the teams, the drivers and the people behind the scenes gave him a completely different perspective of the sport. But along the way, he also began to see the gaps — a passionate community that was spread across different places, incredible stories that were rarely told, and an opportunity to create something that could connect and support the motorsport community in a much bigger way.
Then came COVID-19. With races cancelled, tracks closed and physical activities coming to a standstill, the motorsport community became more disconnected than ever. But for Eshan, it was also the moment to turn that idea into action. PitPass was born with a simple purpose: to bring people who share the same passion back together — to give motorsport a place to connect, communicate, share stories and stay close to the sport even when they couldn’t be on the track. What began as an idea to reconnect a community has since grown into a platform bringing together racers, riders, teams, fans, creators, brands and the stories behind Sri Lankan motorsport.
